BF 108 A rare blue and white and celadon-glazed biscuit figure of a scholar

十八世紀 青花青釉凝思書生像

18th century

The figure is seated before his desk, he is clad in a blue robe and is wearing a scholar's cap, a ribbon hanging down from his left shoulder. His head is resting on his right arm, his face has a faint smile with half closed eyes as if he is contemplating and trying to find inspiration. On the desk are a brushpot, paper, an inkstone and a brushrest and brush, all left in the bicuit.  A cloth frontal glazed in blue and celadon suspends around the front of the desk, leaving the open sides and top in the biscuit, all on an unglazed base.

特徵：此像塑一穿著藍袍的書生坐於書桌前，右手托腮，歛眸微笑，狀似凝思。桌面上放置著無釉的筆筒、紙硯、毛筆與筆架。書桌前方懸掛的布幔施青釉，桌面、側邊與底座均未施釉。著名收藏家墨一閑所著《筆筒淵鑒：收藏家的隨心所悟》書中著錄一件極為相似的作品。
