WF 45 A fine archaic jade disc (bi)

戰國或西漢 玉璧

Warring States period or Western Han dynasty 

The thin disc is formed from a slightly uneven slab of jade. Both sides are carved in relief with a broad frieze of comma scrolls criss-crossed within an hexagonal grid pattern between inner and outer borders. The translucent stone of an attractive striated olive-green tone with russet inclusions

時代：戰國時期 (475-221 BC) 或西漢 (202 BC – 9 AD)。
特徵：玉璧薄而帶有迷人的橄欖綠色條紋。兩側均可見六邊形網格紋上的浮雕榖紋。
