17th/18th century
The bowls have fluted sides and barbed rim, the lower part tapering to the recessed base. The interior of each is painted in the kakiemon palette of green, blue yellow and red enamels highlighted in gilt with branches of prunus, pine and bamboo. The sunken centre shows a small flowerhead. The exterior is decorated with three groups of scrolls divided with symbols of a pearl and horn.
