A jade carving of a peach and bat group

18th century

The carving is naturalistically rendered to depict two peaches with branches and leaves, and two bats. Several russet inclusions in the stone have been utilized to highlight the larger bat and some of the branches and leaves. The stone is of white tone with faint areas of mottling.

 7 cm wide
