A famille-rose porcelain snuff bottle

Daoguang mark and period (1821 – 1850)

The slender oval bottle with elongated neck is painted on one side with Zhongkui on horseback escorting his sister to her wedding, accompanied by two demon attendants. The other side depicts a further scene of Zhongkui on horseback, his attendant and two male figures. The base is inscribed with a four-character seal mark in iron-red.
