A small guan-type glazed incense burner

18th – 19th century

The censer is of compressed globular form with a lipped rim and supported on a tapering foot. The sides are set with two shaped loop handles. The exterior and base are covered with a thick greyish-green glaze suffused with a network of dark grey and fine golden crackles. The foot rim and part of the unglazed interior are dressed in a dark brown slip.
