A pair of famille-rose dishes

Yongzheng (1723-1735)

The deep dishes are decorated in the interior with a reserved scroll-shaped panel painted with two cockerels in a garden, flanked by two blossoming prunus branches. The everted rims are decorated with four landscape panels alternated with floral sprays, all reserved on a bright ruby-red ground. The exteriors are glazed white.
