A small blue and white vase

Kangxi period (1662-1722)

 

The rouleau-form vase is painted with two mythical animals perched on rocks emerging from crested waves, and two eagles, one perched on a rock and one in flight. The cylindrical neck with flaring rim is painted with two flower pots above a tooth border encircling the shoulders.
